With the song’s warm, delicate worldview and Mayumi’s one-of-a-kind vocal presence, she has captivated the hearts of countless listeners over the years. Born on February 2, blood type A. Mayumi Chiwaki began her music career while attending university, performing in bands before becoming the vocalist of a technopop band and later making her solo debut. As a solo vocalist, she has released six original albums. In 1999, she formed the all-female rock band MEAN MACHINE (CHARA, YUKI, YUKARIE, AYUMI, CHIWAKI), which quickly drew widespread attention. Beyond music, she is deeply knowledgeable about a wide range of cultural fields, including film, art, and more recently, professional sumo wrestling. She is highly active as a TV and radio personality/DJ, and is frequently selected as an event MC. She also occasionally produces her own live events and maintains an active presence as a club DJ. Thanks to her distinctive sensibility and expansive network, artists and creators naturally gather around her. Leveraging this unique perspective and community, she remains actively involved in discovering and supporting new artists.
